The colours of the sea and the earth intertwine in patterns in a vibrant composition, while curved lines guide the gaze along a continuous movement. Black tips emerge from petals and stems, transforming into eyes, recurring motifs of the artist: vigilant presences that observe, guard, and question the path.
The work is also inspired by the signing of the Treaties of Rome on March 25, 1957, when different paths decided to intertwine in a common project. Fantastic flowers emerge from the surfaces, organic and fluid forms that grow as if from an imaginary backdrop, evoking a shared origin and a process of collective birth. In this dialogue between form, color, and gaze, “Trame” becomes a visual metaphor for the birth of the European Union: a living organism, founded on unity in diversity, solidarity, and the conscious choice to grow together.
