"Устието на езиците"
Между шепота на Дунав и тъмните гърбове на хълмовете стоя,
син на България, вслушан как името ми звучи на много езици.
Думите ми са реки — в извора български,
после разляти през гари, граници и заети песни.

Над мен Европа виси като поле от звезди —
не далечна, а вшита в дрехата, която все кърпя.
Тръгвах си и се връщах на повече от един език,
носейки домовете си, както водата носи светлина.

И всяко преминаване ме учи на тази тиха истина:
единството не е един глас, а небе, в което мнозина светят.
