Freedom to Move

This work draws from the idea to create a caricature of Europe that highlights the advantages of the Euro and the Schengen Area as lived experiences. Through humor and exaggeration, it visualizes freedom of movement as one of
the most tangible achievements of European integration. The contrast between effortless travel within Europe and the complexity of movement elsewhere reinforces the uniqueness of this system. Within EU Journeys, this piece represents Europe as an open space—where borders are softened and opportunities expand. It translates policy into everyday reality, showing how integration shapes not only economies, but also personal experiences and cultural exchange.
